sweetheart when she gets into trouble with a band of psychopaths.
Waking up on the Mediterranean with fun-loving Shelley should have
been the high point of Thomas Brody's uneventful life. Covered in
bruises and struggling to shake off a concussion, he starts to put the
events of the past week together.
He remembers confronting a fellow taxi-driver over the fate of a
missing homeless girl, but now he must piece together how those events
have escalated into a bloody vendetta with some of the most violent
criminals in Perpignan.
On the upside, Shelley, who has always treated him like a doormat,
seems to be taking a shine to the new Tough Guy she is nursing back to
health. It seems that the further he gets away from his old life, the
closer he gets to winning the reckless heart of the woman he has always
loved.
As time runs out in their brief idyll he realises he's going to have
to go much further if they are to make it out alive and the darker
their situation becomes, the more this new world starts to make sense to
him.
His enemies are about to find out just how far he will go to hold onto his new life.
Tragic and funny throughout, this is a tale of love, revenge and
honour told through the eyes of two very ordinary people on a
roller-coaster ride of extraordinary danger and emotion. A journey that
starts with a heinous crime unfolds into an obsessive love that must run
its course, no matter what the consequences.

bizarre, supernatural and the occasional ghost story. But most of all
they are poignant snippets of entertainment for the busy reader
providing moments of bite-sized escapism. How would you react if you
knew a secret about a loved one’s crime or perhaps having to care for
your wife, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s? There’s an old soldier who
entertains his grandchildren at Christmas with his tale of playing
football in WW1. There is a Halloween story to pierce your heart. A
further endearing tale tells us about Anne, who musters up the courage
to face up to a bully. Your embarrassing mother may make you laugh and
a story of tragic personal loss might make you cry but the one of a
young girl’s secret love that is forbidden by her culture could fill you
with joy. There is a farmer, who has to decide between moving abroad
and staying with his family. Do you ever wonder about the erotic secret
desires of your fellow workers? A kidnapped victim hangs onto a thread
of perpetual hope in his adverse situation, and there is the bizarre
situation of Abigail who is trapped between life and death. A version
of Snow White concludes that she did not marry her prince after all.
However, what happens when two women find out they are in love with the
same man? There is another story where the character is recovering from
an accident and has to decide what friendship really means.

A Long Thaw is about two female cousins who were close as children
and reconnect as adults. Abby and Juliet were born into one big, close
Catholic family. But the divorce of Juliet’s parents fragment this
family and sends the girls in very different directions.
Juliet grows up too quickly on the west coast, forced to be
responsible for her younger sisters as well as an alcoholic, single
mother. On the east coast, Abby grows up a pampered, sheltered only
child. As women, they try to mend the rift and come to terms with the
way their shared history connects them in spite of the years apart.

In a perfect village in Ohio, passions run deep. Strong feelings tie
families and football teams together along the banks of a peaceful
river. It was passion that brought Susan and Joseph together and gave
them four sons, but passion is a cruel mistress and threatens to tear
their lives apart. Amid the Friday night lights, everyday life, and
family tensions, the residents of sleepy Monroe Falls live anything but
quiet lives. Everyone in Monroe Falls thought they lived in a perfect
village. They loved their farms and stores. They went to mass on Sunday
and prayed that their mighty St. Anthony Flyer football team would
someday win the state championship. Then one day it all changed and
nothing would be the same. Susan thought she had married the ideal
husband. Joseph gave her four tall strong boys. She loved her coach
husband until the beautiful Mary decided that Joseph was the right man
for her. Then nothing would be the same for Susan. Andrew thought the
perfect village was like all little towns in America. He could run,
fish, and play football. Then one day all his imperfections made him
realize that his love was an illusion. He and his brothers didn't want
to leave the perfect village, but nothing would be the same. Charlie
Resor thought he could survive in the perfect village until his past
demons caught up to him. His life came down to his love for motorcycle
racing and one last shot at glory. What will it take to return Monroe
Falls to the way it was--or is that perfection really a dream?

Like his predecessor, the Legendary King Arthur, the passion of the
young prince is to rebuild ancient Camelot. When he visits the original
site, he encounters a prophetic gentleman who seems to know the future,
or perhaps he speaks of the past.
Later, as Prince Arthur ponders the true identity of the man, a
total solar eclipse occurs and propels him into the Fifth Century. It is
only when the prince finally accepts the eclipse has directed the
event, time begins to slip once more. It is then he discovers there is
more to consider than space-time theories.
No story runs alone. Always it travels in the company of others. Demi-god. Warmonger. Tyrant. Vampyre. Cannibal. Before he fell from power and glory in ages past, these things were said of Atrament. Believed to be the embodiment of evil, Anathema, is the name he bears now. All he built...gone. All he hoped for...lost. One thing of great value remains. Knowledge. This is the gift he will offer to Clara Maddingley, foster-mother of the Insane Child, providing her with an answer she has sought for over twenty years: why did her boy descend into madness? Will truth be told, or is Atrament the father of lies? And if knowledge has a price, what must be paid to attain it? Clara will discover the cost, but first...she must listen to Atrament speak.
Just take Uncle John's advice and you'll be breathing heavy in the back seat of a late model crew-cab pickup truck in no time.
In the following pages, Uncle John presents the most efficient ways to get somebody of the opposite sex to mess with you.

wilderness. Tested to their limits, they struggle to survive their
terrifying dash for freedom. After the total collapse of the world
economy, the United States could not stand together. So they failed
separately. In the small region-state of Winnkota, poverty and greed are
turning the idyllic Northwoods of Minnesota into a barren wasteland of
clear-cut forests and over-fished lakes.
Every able-bodied teenager is
conscripted into a labor force and sent to work in harsh, prison-like
conditions. They are enslaved young so they never learn to think for
themselves. But Penn is different. He's determined to win back
freedom—for himself, his friends, and someday for his homeland. On a
cold autumn night, the group makes their dash for freedom north of the
border.
The fugitives endure a series of difficult wilderness challenges
while pursued by the ruthless camp guards. They weave through dense
forest, scale cliffs, swim through the bitterly cold lakes, and
otherwise try simply to survive. Pushing his friends to the breaking
point, Penn guides the fugitives through a harsh, but ironically
beautiful, backdrop of amazing Northwoods scenery. Adversity and loss
abound, all while an unexpected physical attraction leads to a
burgeoning love story. Should any of them survive to reach the border,
will the freedom found equal all that they expected?

New York, 2050: Daniel is enmeshed in a world in which he does not
belong, which he finds loathsome, intolerable. Orphaned as a young
child, he has in his 23 years never known family or friendship. The City
lies in the secure grip of the IDSC, a draconian organization charged
with the security and stability of the United States. This fact, ever
present, undeniable, seems far removed from a man who lacks not just a
sense of community but a sense of self as well. And he is plagued by
nightmares, which he cannot understand yet nonetheless push him toward
the unknown, the darkness of all that may be.
After meeting a
beautiful woman named Alena and her father Thorin, he and Thorin leave
The City, set on a mysterious destination known simply as The Centre.
The journey traces not only Daniel's path away from New York but also
the incremental revelation of his past and true self, bringing closer
the actuality of where he has come from, what he is, and what he is
destined to become.
24 years earlier, Peter, Andrew,
and a younger Thorin leave The Bay, set on a historic gathering in
Philadelphia, which unbeknownst to them will initiate events that will
change their lives, alter the very reality to which they've been
accustomed, forever.
Along the way they are joined by Edith,
a thoughtful, Kind girl from Salt Lake City, and meet Jonathan, a
mysterious man with a taste for good cognac and good times with Friends.
The situation in Philadelphia, however, is not what they expect, and
soon all turns to chaos, from which the friends emerge changed, each set
on different ends. Andrew enlists with a man called Michael, chairman
of an enigmatic organization known simply as IDSC. Thorin leaves to stay
with his fiancée in Washington D.C. Edith returns to her now seemingly
boring life in Salt Lake. Peter... Peter returns to San Francisco,
alone and disillusioned.
What none of them realize, what
they would never suspect, is that they are already being moved by an
intricate plan, a device of Fate and the vision of one who would change
the nature of the U.S. and the world itself. When they are at last
brought back together, the results are catastrophic, shaking their
world to the core.
Epoch Awakening is the first
chapter in an epic tale of political upheaval, personal growth and
discovery, and the burgeoning Spirit that will mark the New Age of this
world. Among its lines is found an in-depth discussion and development
of freedom, friendship, identity, and the significance of the stories we all read, write, and live every day.
